Attend One of Our December Estate Planning Seminars

November 20, 2013 by Barry D. Horowitz, Estate Planning Attorney

Statistics indicate that most adults don’t have all the proper estate planning documents firmly in place.

This is disturbing because estate planning is a must for all responsible adults. One of the reasons why people never put an initial plan in place is because they don’t know enough about it. They just assume that their financial assets will naturally fall into the hands of the people that they love.

The truth of the matter is that things are not that simple. There are very specific steps that you must take to effectively arrange for future asset transfers. There are a lot of factors to take into consideration, including potential estate tax exposure on both the federal and the state level.

Asset protection will be a concern for some, especially people in certain occupations that are especially prone to lawsuits. Small business owners must plan ahead in a specialized manner, and people with family members with special needs must take very specific steps to provide assets while preserving benefit eligibility.

All of this can sound complicated, and we understand that. As a response we periodically hold free seminars for people here in the greater Hartford area. We have six seminars scheduled for the month of December, and we would like to invite you to attend one of these free information sessions.

We do ask that you register in advance so that we can reserve space for you. To look at the schedule and make your reservations simply click this link: December Estate Planning Seminars.
