
In Since Medicaid is a need-based program, there is a $2000 limit on countable assets for an individual. However, if you are married and you are applying for Medicaid, your spouse would be entitled to certain protections.Ā One of them is the medicaid monthly maintenance needs allowance. ordinarily, most of your income would go toward the cost of your care, but things are different if your spouse is relying on the income.
